Increasing ID/OD Grinding Flexibility with Supertec EGM-350T and Tool Changer

Jun 24, 2026

Supertec EGM-350T

Supertec Machinery will showcase the EGM-350T twin-spindle ID/OD grinder at IMTS 2026, highlighting the addition of an advanced 8-position tool changer designed to expand grinding flexibility and maximize productivity for complex part manufacturing.

The EGM-350T enables multiple grinding wheels to be utilized within a single operation, allowing manufacturers to perform a variety of grinding processes without manual wheel changes or repeated machine setups. Equipped with a BBT30 spindle taper, built-in automatic tool changer, 7.5 kW spindle motor, and speeds up to 30,000 RPM, the system provides rapid and precise wheel exchange while maintaining positional accuracy and process consistency.

Featuring an 8-position tool changer, the EGM-350T can perform ID, OD, end-face, groove, radius, taper, and step grinding operations in a single chucking. By reducing setup changes and part handling, manufacturers can shorten cycle times, improve concentricity, and achieve higher overall part accuracy.

Designed for multi-feature and multi-step grinding applications, the EGM Series is ideal for components such as flanges, collets, inserts, sleeves, locator pins, gears, and other precision parts requiring complex ID and OD geometries. The machine supports a wide range of grinding cycles, including through-hole, blind-hole, chamfer, radius, taper, and profile grinding operations. The EGM-350T delivers a flexible grinding solution for industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, tooling, and precision manufacturing.

At IMTS 2026, Supertec will demonstrate how the EGM-350T and its 8-position tool changer can streamline complex grinding processes, reduce setup time, and increase productivity through true multi-process grinding in a single setup.
